71 Turn Signal question
I have two 71's one with an early December 1970 build date and the other with a late April 1971 build date. Tonight I was checking the turn signals in preparation for vehicle inspections and noticed that the car with the early build date flashes both the front turn signal and the side marker at the same time. Upon checking the April build date car I found that the front turn signal and marker light alternate when flashing (they also flash at a much slower rate of speed).
Both of my vehicles have the clear lens w/amber bulb. So I'm wondering was there a mid-production year modification to the flasher circuit as well as the lens?
Is this consistent with your 71 based upon build date? Or is one of my vehicles wired incorrectly?
It appears that in 71 & 72 the front side marker lights flash in unison with the front turn signals when the running lamps are off and they blink opposite each other when the running lamps are on.
