Differential/limited Slip problems while driving coud use some help on this.
I have had some problems while driving my 78 vette .When I drive it for about 100 miles or so on the highway at about 70 mile hr. it seems that the possie plates seem to stick together if I slow down to go around a sharp cornner I can feel it it seems to whant to bind more from the right then the left it only does it after the rear end is warmed up.I can drive it around town all day and it does not do it.The rear end was rebuilt with all new parts.I use Acdelco axel lubricant sae 80-90 with acdelco limted slip lubricant additive Should I change the oil in the rear end or is this just common for these cars.
Fresh posilube should eliminate your problem.

I've had great results on GM posi units using 'Redline' brand synthetic poitraction gear oil. It is some seriously slippery stuff, and prevents that binding. The problem is common in newer or 'tight' posi units, and is caused by the oil 'spinning' out of the clutches as you run down the hiway. As soon as you pull into town and make turn, the 'dry' clutches 'chatter' as they slip for the first time in a while. The clutches are cross-hatched on purpose so they retain some oil, but they still 'drain' after extended freeway driving and that's why they chatter.
