Default Fusable linc

What kind of fusable linc do I need to install when I upgrade to a 10ga wire from alt to battery.....

Where do you find fusable lincs, the local part stores dont have them.

Thanks

Better auto parts stores do have them, Zone does. In the help/wire section. The bozo's behind the counter can't help you, you need to find it on your own..lol.. For the alternator, get at least 10 ga, if not available, double up some 12 ga....G/L

That I don't know, only my experience with C-4 alternators are over 100 amps, and the fuse link wire is about 10 gauge. The link is not rated in amps, only wire gauge.

A "real" auto parts store can help. Pretty sure the widely-sold "Standard Ignition" product line lists fusible link ... probably in Standard's "wire & cable" catalog.

I believe a fusable link is 2 gauges smaller. You can buy one or just put that guage in, same thing.

Now the question is do you want to protect this 10 guage line or the original wires inside the car?

GM only uses fuse links to power items UNDER the hood. The fuse block protects the wiring INSIDE the car.
