Default Gear Shift ****

In one of the Corvette parts catalogs,, possibly Paragon, they had a photo of a Vette interior and the automatic gear shift **** ws wooden. None of the catalogs list any in wood. Has anyone ever seen these for sale? They look pretty cool.

The wooden ones were readily available back in the late 70s / early 80s. I had one in my 81. Haven't seen them in a long time now though.

I have one just like that in my '81.
I'm not sure where the P.O. got it because it came with the car.
I wish I knew how to remove it because I would like to refinish it.
Does it just unscrew?

Do you have an automatic or 4 speed? The 4 speed **** just unscrews, the auto **** needs the push button unscrewed first and then the **** can be unscrewed.

It's an automatic...and thanks.

I'll look around some of my saved links and catalogs today and see if I can find a **** like that for the op. I think they look cool. Especially with the wooden steering wheel. They have to be somewhere.
