Default gas leak

How fast does the gas run on my arm when I change the rubber gas line between the hard line and the fuel pump? Also the best way to eliminate to much g as waste. Now a days every drop counts!!!!!!!!!!

Your probably not getting any answer since the answer should be obvious! Drain the tank BEFORE you work on the lines, not AS you work on the lines. Think SAFETY FIRST. It's very easy to siphon the gas out thru the filler before you disconnect a line. Then drain what's left. NEVER have gas running on you as you work. A spark will set off the fumes or even your trouble light will set it off.

And PLEASE have a fire extinguisher next to you when you are working with gasoline. Y'all have an ABC rated fire extinguisher in your garage, don't you?

First, get an assortment of those rubber caps like used to cap various size vacuum fittings, I think 3/8" is the usual size. Quickly pull the hose off the hard line and slide a cap over it. Then you have all day to remove the old line and hook up the new hose to the fuel pump. When all connections are done down below, just quickly remove the cap and slide the new hose over the hard line.
