Default damn demon

im using a demon carb on an air gap manifold, the vacaum port in the manifold is blocked by the carb bowls. i cant use spacer under carb because its a vette ... no clearance... the main port from the carb is for my brakes. SO I HAVE NO PCV other than valve cover breathers. does anyone think this is a bad thing? guy at my speed shop says to use a vacaum canister for my brakes. i dont understand this one yet, and im not f...ing with my brakes! anyone?

You will notice he is still using a spacer under his carb, the problem is lever on the secondary pump

You might be able to tap one of the rear runners on the Air Gap like I did on my VIc Jr, my Race Demon has no vacuum ports whatsoever

Oops!, never thought about that. Oh well I'm using a spacer anyway.
Redc3, add to your list one spacer and drop base air cleaner or a drill bit and tap.......whichever you prefer.

I just tapped the back runner of my RPM Air-Gap with a 1/8" pipe thread tap. I also did this on the Victor Jr and it worked great.

If you look at Motorheads pic, you'll see that he "T"d the vacuum line off the hole he tapped in the intake. Does your Demon have the vacuum port in the center rear of it's base? This is where I connected my vacuum line to and then "T"d like Motorhead did on his You could also tie your PCV into the bottom of the air cleaner base as an option, some aftermarket air cleaners have a knock out for this.

redc3, what kind of hood clearance do you have with the air gap and the demon? Right now I have a performer w/ demon and very very little hood clearance, and was thinking airgap when I changed heads.

Had the same problem after I went to a Holley. I bought a 3/8 pipe tap (which is the correct size for this hole) and tapped the hole in the intake. Pipe threads are tapered so the further down you run the tape the lower you can get the vacuum fitting in the intake. Then I put a chrome gardner wescott 90 degree fitting in it. It worked great!

with a 3' k&n filter ( the one with the filtered top/not chrome ) i have zero clearance, but enough to shut my hood. if i install the allthread for the nut to high, it will make the nut scratch the underside of my hood as the engine torques back and forth. i used a self locking nut, so i wouldnt have to use a lock washer, thus taking up mor space.
