One of the changes involved with the OD trans swap was of course the TV setup. Bowtie's TV kit replaced the old accelerator bracket with one mounted on top of the TV plate. But now it's somewhere around 1/4" - 1/2" farther forward than the old bracket was and I can no longer achieve WOT, at least not from inside the car. Is there an adjustment somewhere that I'm missing? Do I need to change out my throttle cable with a shorter one, or should I just try fabbing up something to move the bracket farther back.
hi,
you should just be able to snip away at some of the outer plastic of the cable to give it that little bit more travel,
thats all i did with mine and it now works fine,

Maybe I'm being dense and not understanding. To me it looks like I've already got too much slack and that's causing it to not open the throttle all the way. Wouldn't cutting off some of the plastic add even more slack, worsening the problem?
TV = Trottle Valve. Something like the down-shift cable on non-overdrive transmissions.
Pardon my idiocy Let me see if I've got my head wrapped around how it works...
Cutting back the plastic gives more cable travel, which would set the peddle farther away from the floor, allowing it to pull the throttle back farther? Does that sound right? You're talking about the plastic housing on the firewall side of the bracket right?

When you put the pedal all the way to the floor your throttle plates should be open all the way (pri and sec blades straight up & down). You need a friend's foot to help you verify this.
If this is not the case then perhaps the new bracket that holds the throttle cable is sitting too far forward?
