Default Need some clutch cross bar mounting help please....

I have all of the parts and got up under the car to start mounting the "Z" bar and am unsure of a few things that I have not been able to find any good pics on. Here are my sticking points:

1. Which hole in the engine block does the ball stud screw into, the one over the oil filter mount or the one that is over the freexe plug. If I screw it into the one over the oil filter mount it looks like the bar will then sit at an angle vice straight across.

2. Where is the hole that comes out of the firewall for the clutch rod?

3. How long should the cross shaft be end to end? I want to make sure that what I bought is what I got.

4. Lastly does the grease fitting on the cross shaft point up or down? Trying to figure out which end of the cross shaft goes to engine and which to the frame mount.

Thanks
Wade

#1 above the freeze plug so shaft will align straight across
#2 about 6" below the master cylinder. May be a rubber plug in the hole which is approx a 2 1/2" hole
#3 cross shaft is 10 3/4" long
#4 grease fitting should be pointing in the downward position...atleast mine is. the block side of the shaft arm should point @ approx 6 oclock and the frame side approx 11 oclock..hope this helps
keep us posted

Thanks J your answers were right on. The plug in the firewall had a plate that screwed in and I was looking for just a rubber plug. Once I moved the ball stud to the hole above the freeze plug everything lined up.

Thanks again!
