Hesitation issues...

Hesitation issues...
Went to the track today... Well, I didn't get to make any runs because the bracket that attaches the throttle cable to the carburator broke and I didn't have a spare one with me..
During the burnout and also when reving up the engine at idle, there still was some hesitation at higher RPM's... I just got the carb back from the carb shop and they fixed it up..but I still get the high RPM hesitation.. What else could cause that issue?? Ignition?
Gonna pull the valve covers and will check the rocker arms and springs to check for any problem there...
I checked the timing and it was right at the money...
