Hello everyone, and thanks for all the help with my brakes.
I want to replace the stock carb on my 80 C3.
What is the BEST and EASIEST to install carb for this car.
Thanks
Why do you want to replace the Q-Jet? It is probably the best combination of economy and power out there and great for a stock to mildly modified motor.
BTW: Edelbrock no longer makes Q-Jets but there are a few other sources out there.

Check w/Lars if yours needs a rebuild. He offers a great deal on a complete rebuild and proper setup if you ship him the carb. Less than commercial rebuilders charge and you WILL get a great running/performing piece back.

I had an Edelbrock Q-jet. It was ok, but come to find out (via Lar's) they use "truck rods" in them. And I couldn't get a good "tune" out of it. They have a tendency of running lean at WOT. So I purchased a Q-jet from SMI (Sean Murphy Induction) a few months ago, and am very pleased with it.
He taylored it to the car, by taking the weight, engine size, cam specs, transmission type, gear ratio, tire diameter into consideration. The '81 really runs strong now.
