Default splash shield under the radiator???

I've seen small puddles of coolant forming under the radiator...hoping for a hose/clamp issue. But there's some sort of splash shield (at least on my '73) that is being a bit stubborn. One bolt attaching it at both L and R ends, just under the radiator. But that sucker ain't budging...must be some more attach points.
Any clues for the clueless?

sounds like you're talking about the fan shroud. it is also connected on top and the fan must also be removed to get it out.

I thought it might be part of the fan shroud, but that doesn't match with any of the diagrams in the assy manual. sounds like a lot of work just to see if a hose/clamp might be leaking.

you should be able to tighten the hose clamp without removing the shroud
