There was a shorter nut included in the kit. It just barely clears the threads, so there is no room for a pin. Steve recommends you use loctite. I also check mine every so often.
HOW LONG IS THE INSTALL ON THE SAFETY LOOPS?? I WAS THINKING OF PUTTING THEM ON THE DRIVE SHAFT AND HALF SHAFTS SOON...DO THEY BOLT RIGHT UP ??..----------
it will take too long. I only got the half-shaft loops. If you have offset trailing arms, there is a special set of loops for them, just talk to Steve at Dragvette.com.
The value in the loops is the money/time it saves you if one of the half-shafts should break loose .
i have stock style trailering arms, o.k. lets forget for now about the drive shaft(they should make them 2 piece so you dont have to drop shafts!!,(oh ! there goes another patient idea!) how long would you say the install is for the bolt up of the safty loops on the half shafts??they do bolt up right???
