Default best ball joint grease?

i've been unhappy with mobile1 syn grease because it tends to seep out to the point of an eventual drip.

i've heard good things about super blu, but can't recall the details. maybe not a syn grease.

any help would be great.
did the searches and came up empty.
thanks,
tp85

Super Blue is a very good Non Synth. grease - I believe it's Kendall. I have a large container of it I haven't touched in several years since switching to all Synth.

Take a look at Valvoline Synthetic (I get it at NAPA). VERY different from Mobil 1 (which I also like).

I use that Mobil 1 on all the bearings, joints, steering boxes etc. I have also noticed it leaked out of the new ball joints I installed. I'm going to call Mobil on this because the grease itself is supposed to be one of the best on the market.

I have been using Amsoil synth. grease, so far I am pleased with it. It stays put just fine.

I've also notice that with mobile 1 grease. Seems the synthetic oil separates from the carrier base in hot temperatures. The oil leaked out of my grease gun sitting in my shed and left the paste behind.

same thing with my gun...sort of ridiculous if you ask me.

i should probably switch to something else if it bothers me this much.

Same thing happened to me and probably everyone else who has used it.

I have been following these replys and have been wondering about the use of the Mobil 1 synthetic grease in my rear spindle/bearing assemblies. Perhaps I should not use the Mobil 1 and opt for something else. any thoughts on this ?/

thanks
