Any difference between Small Block and Big Block rear ends?

The internals were a little different between the years but I don't know of anything other then the yokes being different between SB auto/BB and SB 4 speeds?
If you're buying a used one look it over very closely. If you're building yours then you'll want 10-17 spider gears,maybe heat treated, solid steel clutches, and some other mods to build a nice street diff.
