Isn't it funny how once you get to the 3rd page you forget who started the thread?

I'm interested to see how the weight turns out.

George there are some fundamental differences here, TT isn't blindly dumping money at it and having others do it for him. There seems to be legitimate engineering going into this thing. He seems to be willing to tune it once it's on the road too. Only time will tell. At the rate things have been going recently it shouldn't be long...

Do you have a camera mount in mind yet TT?? You know you're going to have to do that!

A camera mount? Someone can sit in the pass seat and hold it, a camera mount is excess weight

Hm....seems we've traveled down this road before, with a dude that had illusions of grandeur....build the meanest, badest, fastest, best handling C3 on this planet...build it he did, but did it ever run right?

Hope you fare better than Merlin, and see your project to the end....by that I mean, fully functional, street worthy, running car capable what you set out to do.

Nein, nix for dich. Ruhigsie.
Sergut?
I haved dabble for 3 years since I bought my Czech-German Shephard. That and an ex-gf from Austria. Dah!

Back to matter at hand:
Yes, I'm a dude with a decision to make. Dump pure cash and buy the pre-fabbed components, or build a very unique vehicle similar to TT or Norv or Turtle, etc. Time is turning into the biggest factor. How many years do I want to spend prior to being able to actually drive it?

Oh yessss TT, you better have a camera mount in mind. I've got a local machinist who has gotten pretty good at fabbing up stuff for the MCs. If you get a design but want to save some fab time, let me know and I'll give him a call. Aluminum mount shouldn't cost too awful much to ship your way.

BTW, I MIGHT have a source for some scrap Titanium soon. Weight reduction applications ???? AND several local military aircraft mothball yards have a ton of Magnesium just laying around. It's fun to work with, but how bad do you want that Six pack?

Has anyone addressed under the body aerodynamics (louvered panels to keep lift at bay) I've seen a few apps, but was curious if anyone on here had any personal experience with fitting or design?

are you trying to write German? can't make heads nor tails out of that Nein, nichts fuer dir??? (I can't find the damn umlaut ..u w/ 2 dots)

LOL, I don't want the beer that much but I hate to loose

If only I could get a hold of magnesium, welding it isn't much different from welding aluminium anyway.

Under body aerodynamics, why yes..working on that, big scoop on front, clean underside w/ exhaust tucked away and a big tank that forms a smooth surface at the rear, I'll seal it against the body so no wind can get trapped behind the rear bumper. Thinking about using a big alu plate to cover the underside from transmission mount to diff crossmember

OMG,

this is the first and last time i will ever be lumped together with TT or Norval. :o

I'm honored. You too can get a "custom" just like mine. Just find a POS C3 for $2500 on ebay and you've got one.

I just critique the guys doing the neat things. I don't do anything that special to my car.

Your knowledge may exceed your material goods thus far. However, given the resources I believe you'd been out machining away in the same calculated manner as those two. And just as nutty as a result!
