Vacum Hose
I'm going to replace the vacum hose in my 78. Does anybody know how many feet I would need?

You'd like to have two feet just for good balance and locomotion, but people have been known to get by just fine with one or none.

geoc, their are many different sizes of vacuum lines on a Vette. Check with a Corvette parts retailer for complete vacuum line kits.

Got mine from ZIP, hoses are all correct length and size along with being color coded for easy identification, comes with hose routing diagram also.

Depending on the year there is around 50 feet of vacuum hose in several sizes. It really is easier just to buy the kits that comes with a routing diagram and new fittings.

Here ya go!
Note: His prices are not current so do not expect that he will go by the published numbers.
But he does have the stuff you need.

No complaints with ZIP Products. They're good people.

Some people have issues with them...
I can't say much, I've never dealt with either outfit.

Zip is fine.
Doc can be a bit "eccentric" but he has stuff that can be difficult to find otherwise. You want to stay on his good side if you get my drift.

I've never had problems with either of them. Doc is great for unusual parts. He and Zip had issues with each other that is pretty well documented on doc's web site. Great parts and service from both and the few errors on my orders were corrected quickly.

Get the Dr. Rebuild kit, I used it last winter and all the hoses are pre cut and work great. Some are different sizes so you need a kit.
