Instead of the vortec heads and lunati cam i was thinking about swapping. Keep in mind I want this to be a street motor so is this a good kit or not. Will I have to get a new stall converter or can I use the factory Stall.
Thanks
I've got it. takes all of the b/s out of making sure every thing matches. My 383 is still on the engine stand so I can't tell you about it's performance yet.
I bought the 465 hp/450 tq one the other day, I should have it within the week so I can't tell you if it performs to what they advertise. They all look like a great bargain to guys like me, who don't have a clue what they are doing.
I posted a similar quesiton on the exact same kit several months ago, but nobody could give me a definate answer. It seems that nobody had any experience with these kits at that time, but they did give me the general "thumbs-up" on it.
When it came time to purchase I just got to thinking why have a 350 when for another $1,000+ I could build a 383? so I also bought the Eagle balanced rotatitng assembly kit to go the 383 route. With the 72 cc heads from the trickflow kit, the -7cc flat piston kit works out to be right about 10:1 compression ratio.
