Quadrajet rebuild kit
I took a look at the carburetor on our C3 today, which is currently being stored at our neighbor's house until the day after my mom's 50th birthday (which is Saturday).
When I looked at it, I saw that it's a Rochester Quadrajet on there, and that it looks like it's in some semi-sad shape. So, I'm already thinking that we need to do a rebuild on this thing when we pick it up on Sunday.
However, I don't know where to get a rebuild kit for it. I see Edelbrock's got a rebuild kit for Q-Jets, but Edelbrock says it's for the Edelbrock Q-Jets.
I know that Holley bought Rochester, and so they carry a rebuild kit for it, but again, I have no clue which kit it is that I need.
Anyone know?

Get the numbers off the driver's side and go to Autozone/NAPA/whatever, they can look it up for you. My local parts place ordered me one, had it the next day for 30 bucks canadian.

7047687 is not a good carb number - check the number again...
Fuel leaking out the throttle shafts is not a problem with the shafts. Normally, this is an indication that fuel is dribbling out the main discharge nozzle(s) above the shaft, hitting the throttle plate, and then leaking out the shaft area. Causes for this include:
High float level
Sunk float
Leaky needle/seat
Fuel boiling in bowl
Excessive throttle plate opening for idle condition (carb running on main discharge circuit at idle)
All of these issues can be corrected with a good rebuild and setup, but re-check that carb number first - there is no carb with that number.

7043208, doesn't seem to be original carb.
Just bought this car, so I'm still learning things about it.
Thanks, Keith
