Have you thought about getting a hyd. roller cam? You won't have to worry about breaking it in or wiping lobes. Plus they're good for making power on the street.

If you already have everything and know exactly what you want to do with the car, call the manufacturer. Talk with them and give them your information. I am partial to Erson cams for this very reason. You can have a cam ground for your engine for a few dollars more if any. Off the shelf cams are generic and made to fit the in between of a lot of different set-ups. There are several off the shelf cams that work well with different engine combos, but talk to the people that make them they are the ones who designed the cams in the first place. If you aren't comfortable with what one of them tells you or feel they don't know what they are talking about then shop around, it's your engine and money. JMHO.

Have the guides been modfied for more lift? I built pretty much the same combo with less compression and a Q-jet. Used an XE-256 with a 4sp and 3.08s it works super. I would recommend much more cam with your compression if the heads can stand the lift.

Default Single pattern < 270* full duration.

Isky Mega with 108* LSA and 270* or less duration.

Comp Magnum with 110* LSA and 270* duration.

1.6 ratio rockers too.

Keep ur stock stall but should reduce compression to 9.0:1-9.5:1 with those iron heads - yes dished pistons. If u want higher compression then it gets complicated fast - dual pattern cam(s), more duration/overlap, more lift/better vlv springs, higher stall conveter.

Don't know a thing 'bout voodoo cams so good luck.

why do you want a compression ratio that high? how much horse power/torque are you trying to build?

For a street car, limit the comp ratio to 10:1 (9.5 may be safer) and put a real carb on it.
