After removing the carpet in my 73, I see there's a spray on coating, kind of a rubbery asphalt material, on the floors, etc. I'm sure this was used for sound deadening. It's old and nasty and I'd like to remove it,..get down to the fiberglass.
What's the best method and solvent to use for the removal of this coating?...something that won't damage the fiberglass floors.
You guys are the best,..thanks in advance!

I used a wire brush on a drill for that crap. Be careful not to sand your floorboards down too much though - and wear a long sleeved shirt / mask (the fiberglass tends to get very itchy)!
