Exhaust Problems
Last week I had a 2.5" exhaust put on my car with super 40 mufflers... Well when my car shifts it makes a weird noise! Then I looked at the mufflers and they used 3" instead of 2.5"! They welded the mufflers awsome, but! Would that make the weird noise???? Going from 2.5" pipes to 3" mufflers?????
And if anyone has any pics of theirs please let me see. Mine sits about 3" off the gound under my axles, and I didnt know if anyone else had the same clarence.

More than likely something is loose under the car or the pipes are touching somewhere. These systems are only clamped at the crossmember and at the end of the muffler so they can move around quite a bit. I usually get noise from the muffler rubbing against the lower rear fender or the pipes banging against the spare tire carrier. Put the car on a lift and make sure everything is tight and that you can put a finger between any pipe and it's closest obstruction.
