Default interior problems

Replacing the carpet, consoles and seat in my 73 convertible. When I unbolted the shoulder harness from the wheel well on both the drivers and passengers side...the nut came loss from the frame. Does anyone know how I can get access to this area so I can reinstall the harness. I don't have a lift to get under the car.

Also, I bought shift console from Willcox after much struggle I finally got it installed but when I installed the park brake console I discovered the shift console needs to go forward about 1/2 inch so the brake console fits. There's no way it will go any farther forward...has anyone else had this problem. I guess I'll have to figure out how to trim the console without it looking like cr__.

Hello

For the shift console problem, look at the bottom of the instrument gauge console. There should be 2 bolts sticking out that may be interferring with the shift console from moving forwards.

The shift console may have some holes or slots that these are supposed to fit into. Look at the photo under the radio and you may be able to see these.
