Anniversary Wheels
Has anyone ever heard of Anniversary Wheels that were available on the 73's (and had been recalled) 
. Does such an animal exist? I am looking at purchasing a 73' TT and the seller is claiming that the wheels are legitimate...???

At least 99.9 % sure. Without documentation it would be very difficult to prove.
There were some bad wheels produced and some do exist out in private hands but those wheels seem to have been sold "over the counter". I would put my money on someone adding the later production aluminum wheels to that earlier 73 car. Check the casting marks to verify. The few cars that were built with the bad wheels did not make it out of the factory lot before the wheels were removed. They were not ever delivered on a car according to a discussion I remember from the "other forum". Do a search over there and you will find some detailed threads on the subject.
