Is it really true that the only aluminum intake that fits the LS5 big block stock hood is the factory one?

No single plane manifold on a stock motor for me. The manifold itself may not be crappy if used in the right setup.
Does the 68-69 manifold have everything needed to bolt right up especially accessories?
Also, other than weight, any flow benefit?

If you can get a hold of an old Holley Street Dominator it should fit under your stock hood just fine. It is a single plane as well though, oops you said no single plane...oh,well.
