Default Exhaust Leak

where would the most common sources of exhaust leaks be located? i looked over exhaust and nothing noticable. i get bad exhaust fumes in drivers area at idealing and at stops. thank you.

Where the exhaust manifold meets the pipe. There should be a gasket in there. Sometimes the studs get bent too.

At least thats where mine were.

Also I noticed that when I had a CAT put on I had no smell.

Mine was 'blowing' on the top side of the pipe at the flange with the headers. Sealed it up and no more fumes!

Also had to tighten the bolts at the header flnges.

mine leaks, where the manifold meets the pipe, some idiot stripped out the hole for the stud to go in so now its held on by 2 bolts
