PVC valve issue?

Default PVC valve issue?
Stock '76:

I tuned the o'le q-jet and timed the engine tonight, but when i went to put the aircleaner assembly back on, the engine ran like crap. The problem came when I hooked the line from the side of the carb to the assembly. Is this a bad PVC valve? Just a thought. Any help? The engine was running fine before, and when I take the line off of the assembly it runs great.

When you shake the PCV valve, does it rattle?

put a new hose and PCV valve on it and check the gromet(spelling) in the valve cover

Sounds like a vacuum leak...I agree with Comp above

Also double check and make sure you put everything back on the same way you took it off.
