It's been eons since I've done these, seem to recall... sometimes they're a snap, sometimes a pain in the a$$ !!! Looks like my headers are in the way to get the long bolt out. So, drop the headers? or will the bolt angle past them once it clears the front half of the mount? Any tips? Take it to a shop and bend over!?
When I did mine, the headers were already out. The only suggestion I can give, is to spend the money and get the Energy Suspension mounts. I tried to install the cheap, made in overseas crap for hours before switching to ES. It's not a hard job, but requires lifting and alligning the motor. Use a piece of wood under the engine and put a small jack to lower/raise the engine to allign the mount.
After just putting my motor mounts in on my 75 there isn’t much maneuver room getting the bolt in or out. I also changed to urethane mounts, so that my have made the holes line up differently then stock.
