Default Running headers under floorboard

I received my header kit and played with routing the pipes. My small block and big block headers look like they run up in the tunnel. Does anyone know if I can run the collector under the floorboard. The T-56 is tight around the tunnel and I want to avoid anymore heat than necessary.

For reference, my oil pan is 4" to 5" off the ground, so the headers will be about 3" off the ground.

Check out my handy dandy stands I welded up.

Those look like nice merge header collectors. I ran my pipes straight back to keep heat off the tranny. The stock dual pipe holes were to close to the tranny

Budman78,
I have Stahl under chassis headers, with Dual 3" pipes all the way back. I notched the frame so I could keep them as High as possible. I don't have great pictures but here's what I have.

Full length 3 inch pipes with my custom modded Crossmember I built when I installed my 700R4 back in the late 80's
