What type and brand of Transmission oil is recommended for a T10.
I called around for information on Redline oils but not availible in my area ( SLO CAlifornia ) Mobil One was suggested , any comments
Check with XKS Unlimited, in SLO. They're a Jaguar/Cobra/Land Rover parts dealer that also sells Redline products. The guys there are VERY knowledgeable in performance parts for Jaguars, and have done some "Lumping" (aka swapping Jaguar engines for Chevy small blocks in the Jaguar E-Type, something I consider blasphemous), but they should be able to help you out with getting your hands on Redline products.

Mobil 1 is a great product - I have been using it in my 69 for the last 3 years and I love the way it shifts and sounds.
I also use Redline exclusively in my Harley - great stuff also. I get it from myoilshop.com - very fast service and have the entire Redline product line.
When I had my transmission rebuilt about 8 years ago I went with Amsoil gear lube and a bottle of Limited Slip Differential Additive and have had any trouble since (knock on wood). Shifts great especially in cold weather.
AMSOIL came out with a new transmission fluid this year that should meet your needs. I tried to look up the spec for the T-10, but couldn't find it. This new fluid replaces GM part # 12345349, 12345577, 12377916 and 1052931 and meets GM specifications 9985648, 9986105 and 9985535 and I'm pretty sure the spec for your tranny is one of those.
BUY TORCO! it is what Richmond Gear re-packages for it's line of T-10 Transmissions. Do an Internet search. Don't run thin gear lube in the T-10 like some are recommending, thats for late model junk! Run 75-90W gear oil or you will be SORRY!
