It's actually very easy. First get yourself a heat gun (about $40 at Home Depot). Remove everything that's attached to the front end, headlights, bumpers, supports, hood, trim, etc. You probably want to put the front end on jackstands and remove the wheels. There are 5 basic places the front end is attached, up front underneath, the supports adjacent to the radiator (the bumper supports go through this), the supports behind the front wheels, the supports just on front of the doors, and just below the hoodline. Get your trusty sawzall or cutting wheel (wear long sleeves to avoid fibers on your arms) and cut away sections of the front end to gain access to the supports. Then one by one, use your heat gun to loosen the bonding adhesive where the front end is supported. Be patient and they'll peel away with little effort. Do a section at a time. When I did mine, I thought I was tackling an impossible job, but it was much easier than I thought and the new front end looks perfect. Make sure you do a lot of test fitting before boding in the new front end. I probably put it on and off maybe a dozen times. Also, don't be afraid to drill a few holes on your front end and use sheet metal screws to hold it in position until the adheasive hardens, then remove the screws and fill in the holes,(espeiaslly near the windshield area. Take a lot of before, during and after pitures to impress your friends. Also before throwing all the old pieces away, you can use them as templates to drill the holes for the Stingray and crossed flags emblems. Have Fun!

Default wheel wells

I am looking at the one piece front cap from vanacors. they are about 60 miles from my house and I can pick it up and save lots on boxing and shipping charges. do you have to transfer many parts over like the wheel wells if so are they glassed or bonded to the fenders? I have a heat gun already and will buy the book. thanks

Somehow, this just seems wrong.

I'd rather give money to Eckler's than wait for Zip to order it from Eckler's and have it shipped to me...

That book had been out of print for quite some time. Didn't know it was reprinted. Well worth having

The latest Zip catalog has it listed. I was told Eckler's doesn't have it anymore. Why Zip, beats me!?!

You can also find it on Ebay from time to time. It's where I bought mine for $15, plus $3.95 shipping.
