Default HELP!!!! Installing PATRIOT sidepipes

Happy Holidays!!! I just purchased a pair of PATRIOT sidepipes(The type that are 4-into-1;resemble header pipes, but aren't),and I could use a little help on installation.Anything and everthing will HELP;like ,How do the side tubes attach to the header-like pipes that connect the exhaust to the manifold?(do they just slide on with no nuts, bolt, screws? Please if you have installed these sidepipes,if ya have time; give me any tips that will help, and anything you did to make the job go easier and better.OH I almost forgot,How do they look installed?and most of all,HOW DO THEY SOUND? Thanks alot guys!!! HAPPY HOLIDAYS...Freddie

You bolt the pipes to the frame and slide the collectors into the pipes

Default Patriot install

Maniac;did ya have to modify the brackets at all to get the sidetubes to sit where you wanted them? How do they sound with the muffler inserts that came with them? Do ya have headers?or did you just run them straight to the manifold? By the way, they sound GREAT!!!! Also, does the chrome hold up well?....Thanks again Freddie....

NOT to hijack the thread, BUT..where do you get the pipe that bolts to the header collector and then becomes the 4 into 1 look at the front of the patriots?

The soundclip is with the original mufflers.I have had them on for 2 years now and the chrome is still as new
Shady and vette:I have headers on mine and i made the connection under the car myself,it looks like the one on the pic above.

Going to do it myself. We joined a DIY Auto Center here called Painters Lane. Going to use their 2-post lift for the install. I took a MIG welding class there so i plan to do som epractiving on the install, just to tack everything together. Going to call the local NAPA place to see if they have the J and U bends that Summit sells as an install kit. Figured it'd be cheaper w/o shipping. Some guys have notched the side skirt to make them fit better. I think that's what I will do also; just behind the wheel at the very front of the panel it looks like a 4" long cut would do the trick. They definately look better up close to the car. Here is an install page I found...http://corvettefever.com/howto/4680/index.html
