Q-jet flooding issues.
79 l-82 bore 40 over. Guys i had this carb rebuilt a couple of years ago but it is very tricky to start without flooding the plugs.I call it a security system but it is a true pain and dangerous, the fuel smell is bad and runs out the exhaust manifold.I only drive the car a few hundred miles a year, and it seems to be getting worse. Starting the first of the winter projects. any suggestions.

Verify that your choke pulloff is functional, hooked up and adjusted correctly. The pulloff determines how rich the car runs upon initial cold start. For a step-by-step setup procedure, drop me an e-mail request for the "Choke Setup Paper."
