A friend alerted me that 195s do not match up correctly to dual plane type manifolds but have a larger opening at the intake for single plane types like Victor Jr. The AFR 190s do match up to dual plane and have same flow as 195s. I ordered 195s but was planning on using dual plane for hood issues.
If you mean "correctly" by not being the same size, your right.
That is what port-matching is for. The opening on the intake can be opened up and blended back into the port to ease the transistion. This is not required as long as the manifold port is smaller than intake port. The performance advantage of port matching isn't huge, but it is there.
