I rebuilt all four of my calipers with the o-ring conversion kit from VBP. Re-assembly was very easy and no signs of any leaks etc. I also noticed significant improvement in braking but somehow I think the stainlees lines/hoses and the drilled slotted rotors are more responsible for that!
call me crazy..... but when i got my calipers from advance auto, they where already stainless steel pistons with o-rings.
OK Your'e crazy.
It's not the pistons that are stainless ,the caliper is sleeved with a liner.
So unless you pulled a dust cover and looked I would find it hard to believe you got what you think you got.
yea i meant the sleeves or whatever. it remains that they are what they are as they came with all the info on the o-ring upgrade, and " STAINLESS STEEL " was on every side of the box. its really not that big of a deal, or that hard to believe. sheesh!

Put O'Ring set in my 76, and have real brakes for the first time in five years. VB&P was best price I could find. Quality was good. Be careful with the dust seals. They want to go in crooked.

Advance carries 3 brands (Cardone, Bendix & Raybestos). Do you remember which brand you got?
