HELP! 68 Wiper Problems

Does someone have a wiring diagram for the wiper system on a 68 Corvette ? I have everything hooked up, the wipers work, the over rider works, the vacuum works. The problem I have is the door opens when you turn the key on, ALL THE TIME. There is a solenoid under the dash that has a tan(brn?) wire to it, and when it is connected, the wiper door always opens. When it is disconnected, the door only opens with the bypass under the steering column. Anyone have any ideas ?

Had the same problem with my '68. The problem is the park switch in the wiper motor. Auto Zone sells them for about $40 bucks I think. Once I changed the motor, everything was good. If you have any other questions, feel free to PM me....We'll get this thing worked out.

The wiper motor and pump is rebuilt, I got another rebuilt unit and the same problem is there. Any other suggestions ? PLEASE ?

try searching this forum for posts called "Help with wiper door".
I don't know how much the 68's and 70's are alike, but ButchR had a lot of problems, and some sound advice on things to check.
