Default Corvette Steering box

Hey guys, I'm planning on making the Corvette Steering upgrade my next mod to the 72. Before I spend the money, however, I just want to hear your guys' opinion on the kit - is it really worth the $675? Just how dramatic of a difference is it from the stock system? And, very importantly, will this install get rid of the dead area around center? Thanks in advance.

I have the box in my car. I consider it a significant upgrade, but I beleive the 'dead area' you describe can only be fixed by significantly increasing the wheel caster. this is usually done with the boxed upper a-arms that vette brakes sells.

good luck

Chris -

Do you have any pictures you can post or email. I am also seriously considering this upgrade. Hoping it will be easy with the motor out. I have already rebuild the rest of the steering and suspension.

Thanks!

Do a search. There have been many posts with pics recently about the installation of the kit.
