Default Upper A arm cross shaft offset.

I've had to use an offset upper a arm shaft to achieve proper front end caster settings on one side of my car. Does anyone know what the root cause of this is or how I can alleviate this condition without using the special shaft?

The offset shafts are primarily designed to allow more camber adjustment, but you can pick up a little more caster also. The frames on our C-2's and C-3's have a problem where the spring towers tend to creep together after many years. Vette Brakes sells a spreader bar to help prevent this, if it has not already occured.

Thanks for you responses. So I guess what your saying is that if the towers have creeped together over time I might need a visit to the body shop for a little frame tweek?

You take a measurement from your house. Measure from one tower to the other. Just in front of the front a-arm bolt. Measurement should be
26 3/8".
