Corvette isn't even listed in the app guide. Maybe it doesn't make a difference in your case, but these type bushings have no place on a car that sees any street use. Solid bushing are a track-only modification. There is a reason the factory used (and still uses) rubber bushings in the suspension.

Buy a set like I intend to, drill the ID to a bigger diameter and install some Delrin sleeves into them. They will ride knid of rough but will work very well in Vette when that is done. Change over to a Corvette Steering Service power box and the Vette will "corner like it's on rails" after your done if the rear differential/suspension is in good shape.

I agree the ride would be too harsh and the noise would be bad. Stick to poly or rubber. I prefer poly because they are easier to install and if greased properly will not squeak.

A friend of mine that is an all performance enthousiast insists on solid mounts for his cars.

he had some sort of nylon base stock that he was using to make some bushings too. Said that they won't bind/squeak or give too much in the way of flex. I have yet to see them.

I personally think he is off the deep end. Runs his turbo cars with just a downpipe and no other exhaust. "who needs fancy titanium exhaust? Mine is lighter and cheaper"

Delrin is the best, No squeeks, soft enough not to rattle too bad and doesn't bind like poly. IMHO

I have nylon linered solids also. Your friend sounds like someone I could talk to turbos really don't need much of an exhaust, they muffle the sound quite a bit.
