I had my cluster apart the other day and broke my speedo needle (man that thing is thin!). Does it simply pull off from the front or is there something that you have to remove from the back of the speedometer?
Thanks in advance.

I can't answer about the speedo, but when I was cleaning my guages, I broke the needle on the fuel guage. I gently pulled it straight out from the face. Then I superglued the needle back together and pushed it back onto the post. Can't even tell I broke it.
Like G said, grip it but don't flex it or you'll wreck the shaft. A little pressure and it should come off. Same to install. Be careful not to get anything on the face of the speedo, like WD40 or it will remove the silk screening.
I find that the needles go on and off better if you twist them slightly as you push or pull them on or off. I bought 2 spare tachs to learn how to do this best before working on my "good" one. Make sure you stop the needle against the stop with the needle set at 0.
