Yep, what they all said. :yesnod: I think we have something really unique here. Let's keep it and all of us "together".

TSW... this post isn't a flame on your concerns. Your point is valid and should be considered when the Benevolent dictator makes the final discision. My concern is only, the C3 forum is a Homogenous mixture of all kinds, that makes the C3 forum unique from all the rest. As posted by other members, it seems all like it the way it is.

Where did the spell checker go?
Don't worry about it. I did not take it as a flame, only a discussion. You make a very good point as far as this place being unique. As I said in the post in question, I enjoy the general posts as much as everyone else, and those posts are what makes this place great. I guess having to type TTT once in a while seems like a small price to pay for the privilege of being a part of this place.

As far as spell check is concerned, this was brought up in another section http://www.corvetteforum.cc:88/zerothread?id=126224
It looks like I'm going to need to consentrate a bit more while typing. If I had only paid more attention in school............ :D

I too vote for keeping it united. :jester If things scroll off the first page too fast, maybe Troy can set it up so that there are more threads per page? :clown ~Juliet

I wasnt even going to respond to this topic because I didnt think it was a serious issue.... but to the extent this thread is seen as a referendum, let me vote very strongly to keep C3 as one forum only. It is somewhat unique - I think we have a strong comraderie that comes from shared experiences derived mainly from working on our cars. You just will never get the same thing in the C4 and C5 sections. The C1/C2 section is great, nice knowledgeable folks, but they don't have the "critical mass" (=large numbers) that we do in C3. Of course they are always welcome here! So, heck no, I vote no! MJ

Leave it like it is. It shouldn't be that big of a deal anymore because I thought I saw Troy post something about there being a way to monitor or keep tabs on certain threads now via e-mail or something. I don't know for sure, I haven't quite got this new setup all figured out yet, but I'll get it sooner or later. ;)

I like the C3 section as one combined entity. As you work from C5 to C1 you find that the need to divide the generations into two sections lessens. I think that the C3s are the dividing point.

This section seems to be a great balance of tech and bs.

I will consider changing it in the future if the tone of the C3 forum changes and you all tell me that it should be changed. I don't see that happening though. :D

The C4 forum is split. As far as I can see...tech and general are all mixed up. No gain by that.

The C3 forum rules!!! Why would we want to split? I love to read and answer the high performance threads and at the same time I like to say hello to a brand new C3'er. If we split we'll lose some of our interest because at sometime a new Corvette owner will be told he's in the wrong forum to ask his question. I'm sure glad that didn't happen to me.

We are restoring a C3 and driving a C5. Right now, the C5 section is in 3 pieces: technical, general, and Z06. I HATE it. In fact, I generally just hit the C5 technical page when I'm done on the C3 page for the day. Every once in a while, I go to the general page, and sometimes find something interesting there, too. I always wonder what I'm missing because I don't have time to hit three pages ...

I vote to keep the C3 forum in one piece. Even as it is, it generally has fewer posts per day than any of the C5 forums. Besides, I enjoy reading both the general and technical posts.
