I just got my engine rebuilt. Before the rebuild, the lights worked fine. Now the right side won't flip up. If you rev the engine the light tries to come up, but falls when you let off the gas. I can pull the light up all the way and it will stay up, and it will go down with the other one. I looked in my Haynes manual and couldn't find anything. Can anybody help. If it matters its a 78 L82.
go to corvette-101.com and down load the trouble shotting guide.. to me it sounds like the accuator seal. put the lights on and while its try to go up, push the dust boot down on the accuator shaft. if the light pops up its probably the seal..if not . you have the guide to help
Take a look at the front seal on the shaft of the right headlight motor. I'd bet it's leaking pretty good. The fact that they are coming down together is a good indication everything else is working pretty well.
This also applys to the wiper door accuator,I just adjusted mine today
seems it keeps coming out ??
I might have to put a little dab of glue to hold it in place, its new, maybe I didn't have the inner lip seated good ?
any way if they both close I agree with both people to check hoses and the rubber seal.that should fix you right up
