I'm considering changing from carb to the holley 2 barrel Pro-Jection Kits, is anyone using one of these setups? Or have any thoughts based on someone they know having it?
The main reason is the 2 barrel version is rated to 275 Hp. which covers me ok, and it sells at $799 @ jegs versus $1400 and change for the 4 barrel version. The main use of the car is a cruiser so the 2 barrel should be good enough for the use, and less hassel than the carb.
But that's why I'm asking anyone for thoughts before I invest in the wrong product. Thanks.... Ron
Dropped a SBC in my son's 87 Jeep Wrangler back in Feb 2001 and it woudn't pass Maryland's sniff test. Put a Holley 2BL Projection System on with the optional 02 Sensor and it passes with flying colors. System has been maintenace free and the Jeep runs like a scalded cat. You are going to need a fuel return line to the gas tank.

That sounds like a positive vote. Thanks for the thought about the o2 sensor, I saw that in the option list with an in car monitor for like $ 143 or so. And I believe my 80 has a return line to the tank allready.
Thanks.... Ron
Do a search on TPI and you will find much info on fuel-injection swaps. On an 80 you can use an 82 sending unit and in-tank pump. Will be much quieter probably.
