Looking for a bracket
G'day,
I am looking to buy a bracket that goes under the steering column that I think houses the vacuum switch for the manual override of the headlights. On page 389 of my 1974 AIM, it is described as part# 3958714. I don't imagine that there would be any of these still kept at a GM dealer, but does anyone know if they are available through the aftermarket?

John, do you have a GM dealer in Australia? If so give them that part number and they should be able to check stock at every dealership worldwide.
You would be surprised at whats still laying around somebodys storeroom. Also try www.gmpartsdirect.com. Hope this gets you headed in the right direction.
