This one is just fine. Every time it gets changed, it becomes somewhat of a hassle getting used to a different way of manuvering around . Lets just settle on one way , and keep it like that. ITs a great Forum by the way., and i like the little smiley face that barfs up !

Amen to that! It took me 10 minutes just to figure out you had to log in to post. PITA!!! The last two iterations of the forum were just fine by me, and the hassle factor's getting a little high. Information & discussion good, hassle bad. Bells and whistles 100% irrelevant.

Well, I've been away for awhile (moving) and I come back to find this new format. Quite refreshing. Unfortunately I don't have time to learn how to navigate everything but once the move is over I'll be back full time.

Change is good.

Been a few days since I've visited the forum. Took me a while to figure out I had to "log in" first before the reply buttons would show up.
This long reply screen that I have to scroll back and forth on to see what I'm typing SUCKS!

First time I tried to reply to a post I got a blank white screen. Next time I tried it worked but when I went to "post" the message Netscape completely puked on me :U
Had to cntrl alt del to abort netscape and then restart. At least when I returned to the forum the message did get posted.

I liked the old forum much better...if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Hmmm....maybe the new forum isn't so bad Just configured my profile for extra small fonts and now the whole reply screen fits!

And best of all I can turn off pictures! Woohooo!

I like it better all ready. It seems to load faster and it doesnt have the ads running down the side that I have to wait to load before I can read posts(modem). It has got my vote. :yesnod:

Default There needs to be change sometimes to make better.

Troy is trying to make the forum better. The forum was working pretty good & I mentioned that in Troy's change coming topic. As many know this is Zeroforum in place of UBB. It is running faster.

One thing to remember & specifically am NOT applying this to anyone.
There is an expression- you can't teach an old dog new tricks.
While many have heard the above, few know there is an answer-
The fastest way to become an old dog is stop learning new tricks.

Anyway I like the new forum, too.

I agree, it runs and loads faster (I'm a modem user), and to me that's worth all the other "differences" all by itself. I just hope my membership/subscription fee doesn't go up....

Ganey, you tryin' to say there's something wrong with being an old dog?

I don't HATE the new format, and it is free so my right to bitch is pretty limited. Still, I keep running across things that annoy me. Two more: font's got to be so small that these old dog eyes are having trouble with it (can't read the number of posts & such on the left at all). Also, I'm finding I can only read one of the earlier posts when writing a reply, which is annoying because my old dog memory can't remember who said what.

Hey, maybe the whole idea is to thin the herd. Kinda like eskimos putting old dogs on icebergs or something.

Yes. It is too damned difficult to post. Posting should be as easy as possible. Try forgetting your passwird and getting a new one, now that's difficult!
