I was going to put my new Mighty Demon on when I noticed that the stock throttle linkage won't work.
I could cut the linkage where the black line is to clear the carb, but then it might twist if it's not supported by two bolts. I would drill where the arrow is pointing for the wider square flange.
What do you guys think? Cut up this one? Buy one? Or make my own? (I would have bought one with the carb but Demon tech told me that my stock linkage would work.)
Also how do you adjust the cable length? I'm assuming that I'll have to.

you need to resize your pictures to make them smaller, i bought the right bracket for it and the stock cable works fine. my bracket is actually from bow tie overdrives and is also for the 700r4TV cable

i would use the one from Summit or Jegs the one from BTO is necesary only if you have the linkages for the TV cable for the 700r4 auto trans. and you buy it as part of the TV cable kit

Autozone or O'reilly sells a chrome one that bolts to the carb stud for 15.00. Has multiple adjustments for the throttle and TV cable. Exact fit for GM cables

That would be nice. I hate waiting, I'll check it out.

That is what I used.
Cheap, easy, and you do not have to wait for shipping.
Thanks,

Not too bad. Driving slowly it does fine, but it has major fuel starvation problems if I open it up. I get 1.5 seconds of amazing thrust and then... .
Anyways I bought a Spectre one from Pep Boys for $15. Looks like I'll have to cut off part of it to make it work, we'll see.
And what do you guys think of my ugly *** valve covers? I wish I had a horn that plays la cuca la cha to compliment them. I was going to buy some new cast ones, but that money had to be used to pay my speeding ticket.

torqvette, check out the pics that I put up on my other post. I used a Lokar cable combined with a CSI carb bracket and it is very strong and neat. The setup is simple yet far better than what comes stock.
