Norval how did you do when you removed the valve did you get new lines from the master to the wheels or did you reuse the old ones?
if so what do you have insted of the valve?
mine is leaking in the back so i thought i would remove it and se how it feels
I just removed the block and added a short line from the master to the rear brake lines.
I was doing a line lock at the time so I just ran a line from the master to the linelock and then 2 individual lines to the front brakes.
I do not have a problem with the rears locking up before the front, never did. I also removed what was a proportioning valve on the mustang and found the brakes improved.
I remember reading here on the forum (waaaay back) that the proportioning block ended in '68 and from '69 on it's just a distribution block.
The debate on this block was beaten to death a while ago. I remember the conclusion was It is only a light switch/distribution block but I am not willing to fight over a chunk of brass
