I'm now looking at different options for installing the roll cage in my '79 body. I would like to hear from anyone who has done this already to get their views on the pros and cons, any other cautions or suggestions and what would be required or recommended for SCCA or New England Corvette Trans AM racing. If you have thoughts on chassis stiffening at the same time, I'd love to hear your take on that as well. Thanks.
By the way--- I'm 6' 4'' and will be putting in a Kirkey seat to fit my head and legs in. "Experience is the best teacher." Please share yours with me.

let me know how the Kirkey seat works out. I'm 6'2" and with a helmet on, have a hard time in fitting in the car.
I am running a 12 point that is almost totally invisible from the outside. I did have a precision tube bender and took the time to bend and place each bar as close to the interior as possible.
You do need to build standoffs and maybe if you did search under my name you could find posts that I did on this.
I have 3 side bars. One very low directly from the trailing arm through the firewall , one close to the roof and one just below the window.
Check out Autopower for roll bars etc... You'll have to cut out two sections of fiberglass on each side to gain access to the frame for welding in. Als find out who in your area builds roadrace cages.
