Here are some more pictures of the Auto to 5 speed T5 swap. Thes are pictures of the shifter in the console. I can shift to all gears and the shifter feels very comfortable. I have some refinements to do to it before final installation, but this is what it looks like.
I will refine the location just a little which will place the shifter a litter closer to the left and just a little higher.

I believe that is the same shifter as mine. I couldn't be happier the way it turned out and yours looks the same. Good job, hope you get to drive it soon.
Chris,
When I saw yours, I realized it was the same. The picture shows the shifter bolted in the reversve position, I will turn it around so it slants to the left bringing it closer to the driver. It will be a very comfortable location when I'm done. Soon I will be driving it to see how much enjoyment I can look forward to this coming summer!

I bought mine thru Summit. It is listed as a replacement I am assuming for the Fords since it has the metric threads. I bought it because I wanted the Sidewinder with the 5 speed shift pattern and button for line lock. They only make this to fit the Mustangs. But the fit is great, it puts it right next to your leg in 1st gear.
That crome shifter will look awesome in your console. The shifter I have was with the transmission when I bought it. Cab't wait to see your finished product!

I did some fine tuning to the shifter today. It is about an inch and a half higher and closer to my leg in first and second gears, and it sits in the console more centered. I'm very happy with it now.
I checked the clutch pedal travel and it comes up completely to the stop and bottoms out just before hitting the floor. I am very satisfied with that. I have to relocate the emergency brake pulley to the left of the bracket to keep the transmission yoke from hitting the cable as it turns. I moved the rear transmission support to the center of the tunnel instead of the right side making the driveshaft straighter between the transmission and the differential. This moved the yoke close enough to the e-brake cable to let it hit. I had bought a small pulley to mount up in the tunnel pulling the cable up and out of the way, but Norval suggested moving the pulley from the center of the bracket to the left side of the bracket using a longer bolt and that is an easier fix. I have to get some rubber to enclose the hole around the transmission shifter on the tunnel and I can start installing the steering column, exhaust and glassing the hole in the floor I had to cut.
A winter storm is moving into the area Friday night and Saturday so I will spend my time in the garage!
