Noisy Throw-Out Bearing?
OK.... a couple summers ago, I installed new clutch, pressure plate, and bearing. Only put about 1000 miles a year on this car. When the weather is cold, on first start up, when I go to back it out of the garage-let the clutch out and this thing (bearing I think) screams. Once the car is driven and warms up, no noise?
It's time to remedy this issue-thoughts anyone?

I had the exact thing happen to me with a profesional rebuilt clutch. after about a year and 2000 mile I had the same whine. I installed a new throwout bearing as well as a new clutch fork and pivot ball stud, both which were worn severely but not replaced. Everything seems to be working well now. the clutch for and ball stud have to be replaced when doing a clutch or proper adjustment will never happen resulting in early throwout bearing failure. And don't pay the outragous prices through the corvette catalogs for the fork and ball stud, GM still sells both for a fraction of the catalog cost
