Lights switch matrix location?

Lights switch matrix location?
This schematic shows a matrix assembly for the switches that control the front and rear side markers for signal flashing, lights on, etc. Where is this thing located physically on the car and what does it look like? This is on my '77.

i don't know what a matrix is inthe sense you are using it....there are some big block connectors on the steering column that have to be related to the light circuits

I'm referring to the boxed in set of switches on the right hand side of the schematic. Is that box drawn around that for convenience or is it a single module (a matrix) somewhere in the car?

Do the side markers light with the signals on a '77? They do on the '80 models, but I didn't realize they were on earlier models. On my '80, there are relays on a ledge at the front of the jack storage compartment.

The blue box on the right side of the electrical schematic is the actual turn signal switch that is mounted in the steering column head.
I believe that the 1980, 81, and 82 Vettes were the only ones with cornering lights. I think that there is a common turn signal switch for all 1977 through 1982 Vettes. The turn signal switches for the T&T column come with wiring in the A, B, & C positions in the "harmonica" electrical connector. These positions are to operate the cornering lights. If you install the switch in the 77-79 Vette the extra wires don't connect to anything.

that "harmonica" electrical connector is what i was talking about
